Pinewood Derby

This was Gage's second Pinewood Derby. He was one excited kid! I think this is his favorite Cub Scout activity! This was my first time running the Derby since being called as the Cubmaster. I was a little (okay ALOT) overwhelmed and nervous. It all turned out fantastic. The boys came with incredible cars. Parents came offering yummy food! I think all had a good time. Yay!

Gage found this design online and thought it would perfect for his car this year. He started by eating the chocolate so that he could have the wrapper for the car. No complaining here! His car turned out great! Way to go Gage! He came in 4th place which he was thrilled with. Last year he came in last, so he was excited about the improvement! May next year will be his year! We shall see!
