Gage's Toga Party

To culminate the History of Rome unit, the 3rd grade had a Toga party. The kids were told they could dress up as someone from that period of time. Silly me thought Gage would simply wear a toga. No problem! Piece of cake! But, oh no, he decided to be Roman Soldier. Kimball and I actually had fun with this project. It was Kimball's first week of NO MORE SCHOOL and so we were able to work on this together. We used duct tape, cardboard, and red felt and pulled together this little number...
The party was a lot of fun for the kids. They got to enjoy Roman foods, and play Roman games.

This is Gage's teacher, Mr. Yanke. He has been a terrific teacher. Gage just loves him!
Emmalin wanted to try on the costume. Isn't she a doll!
